Milkwood Cottage is located in Hersham, which is situated in the Garden Route along the southern coast of South Africa. The scenic area boasts with pristine beaches, various eco adventures and numerous world-class golf courses.

SWIMMING

A ten-minute walk from the cottage will take you to the pristine Hersham beach. Enjoy nature at its best while swimming or fishing in these picturesque surroundings. A short drive away is the Great Brak Lagoon, a very popular picnic destination and ideal for children with its safe, calm waters.

FISHING

One of the reasons the Garden Route is such a popular fishing destination is because of its vast variety of fish the area has to offer. Hersham beach and surrounding lagoons provide both estuary and surf fishing where a variety of fish can be caught from Blacktail to Muscle Cracker.

GOLF

Down the road from Milkwood Cottage is the Dolphin Creek Golf Course, which is perfect for a relaxing round of golf. There are countless world-class golf courses to explore in the Garden Route – Fancourt (George), Pinnacle Point (Mossel Bay) and Simola (Knysna) to name but a few.
